People tend to say that if you really love someone, you will do anything to make that person as happy as possible at all times. You will give that person what she/he wants just to please her, her friends and her family even you will spend a lot. As I sat down sipping my coffee while watching an episode about Engagement and Wedding Preparations, a thought came out from nowhere. How much would you spend for an engagement ring? Should you spend a fortune for it? Would it be worth the spend?

I suddenly remembered the times when I decided to quit playing around and put an end to bachelorhood, to propose for the girl that I want to spend the rest of my life. I’m prepared what to tell her exactly and what to do except for one thing, the engagement ring to put on her lovely fingers. That was the time I have to make a big step, a step that I believe could make her happy. I would not mind spending a lot for an engagement ring, while I can afford it. After all, it would mean how much she means to me and how much I love her.

Each of us has different views with this matter. Others says, engagement rings and wedding rings are important, but not the main priority. What’s important is a life-long commitment to love your partner in sickness and in health for the rest of your lives. Yes, I agree with that! But also remember that engagement and wedding rings plays a vital role in every couple.

So how much would you spend for it? Well I guess, the correct question is how much is in your pocket? Just spend how much can you afford. Though I spent a lot during those times where I am financially capable, I do still believe that the value of the commitment is not weighted in any currency. Then, if she rejects what you can afford, she doesn’t deserve one.
