Traditionally, men does not wear an engagement ring as they only wear wedding rings. It is only women that wear engagement rings. However, this has changed over the years and it is now common for men to wear an engagement ring too!

Nowadays, more men are starting to wear engagement rings, however many men do not. It is a decision for the individual to make. Engagement rings are traditionally worn by women to symbolize that they belong to their man. In some countries both genders wear the rings, while in some only women do. It’s a choice.

I’m a man and have been married for a couple of years. And I must say, I love the idea of wearing an engagement ring. As a matter of fact, before my wife and I got married, there was a time she asked me if I would wear an engagement ring instead of her. I must admit, I was taken aback a bit at first, however, I learned to adore the idea of my wife to be and to show the world would be an honor for me. I don’t want my soon to be wife to have the ’show’ that she is loved and taken, when I don’t. I felt pride on wearing an engagement ring for her, and with her, to show the world we are equal.
